STEP 2: Block out 2 hours+ of your time on March 19th, 2025 from 4pm - 6pm Pacific (7pm - 9pm Eastern) so that you can show up without distractions ready to take notes.

STEP 3: In the comment box below, share your biggest question (or concern) with training and selling horses for profit...

Post your question:

  1. My biggest concern when purchasing a project horse are underlying lameness or medical issues that do not come up during the pre-purchase. I have had it happen twice.

  2. Budget for finding project horses and how to price them when selling

  3. How to price your project for sale

  4. Where to buy project horse

  5. My biggest problem with project horses that I have ran into is I don’t know when they are done and ready to be sold. My standards for a horse that comes out of my facility are quite high, so I do not want to sell a quick project horse and set the bar below what my normal horse training amounts to. How do I combat/advertise this to let the client know that I produce quality horses rather than quick flips? Am I overthinking? Thank you!

  6. I know how to train but I'm letting other aspects of my business keep me busy, not leaving time to train. I need a good plan.

  7. How do ypu rebrand yourself? Like recreating a new wheel. Been out there so long, where do you begin?

  8. I prefer to buy my horses without a PPE, but I worry about getting one that won’t pass a PPE to most buyers’ likings. The new area I moved to also has PPEs starting at $1000, instead of a few hundred dollars.

  9. -Feelings on the buy back promise? ( would you give someone first buy back? Would you ask for it? Can you contractually make them or is that why leasing out exists?) -When would go all in? (When to get an llc? Should I sell my first project through a business bank account?) -How do you personally deal with the responsibility of choosing where these horses go? ( Any stories of sellers remorse? Advice for selling horses in a horsemanship lacking area?) Thank you <3

  10. How to decide where to begin in order to be full time, accurately, effectively, and quickly?

  11. How to find a horse the right price to be able to make a profit and avoiding problems that might make them hard to resell

  12. Knowing when the project horse is ready to sell - and how to evaluate their new value

  13. Best way to start a successful training business, how to advertise to get clients, to move on from just training 2 year olds

  14. How to evaluate project

  15. Where is the best place to find project horses? And what are you looking for when buying them?

  16. Do you have to use social media to be successful at in advertising at this point?

  17. Where to locate the project horse

  18. Where do buy from, private or sales

  19. Quality market strategy

  20. Buying something that has a hidden physical problem or purchasing something that I think is going to be marketable, but it not be appealing to buyers at a reasonable price
