STEP 3: In the comment box below, share your biggest question about making more revenue as a horse trainer.

Post your question:

  1. Knowing how to list a horse in right place

  2. Where do you find top quality horses

  3. What advice would you give to people first starting out & don't own there own facility?

  4. How do you pay your monthly bills when you it takes so long to make one 6 figure horse. Also could you speak to how to find horses that will make a six figure horse, we all know a good foundation is key.

  5. How do you make the shift from client horses to personal horses to train and sell when your income depends on those client horses?

  6. How do you know what price to list a horse for? What happens when you have a horse listed for a long time at too high a price and it doesn’t sell

  7. In your project horse model, do you cover the liability of injury to the horse when you own it?

  8. For many years I have been the travelling trainer. Going to different ranches and farms daily. Driving 100+ miles per day. I charge $175 per training session (90 mins). It’s ok pay, after the drive time and gas it really is only about 50/hr. I just recently bought a ranch of my own and as I’m getting set up, it’s overwhelming what needs to be done. Round pen put in, arena, need to get insurance, then start going to auctions and sales to find training horses. What is the order of go for the system? What do I prioritize? I don’t want to be driving around anymore and I really don’t have the time to do so with everything that needs to be done here. Plus I’m tired of dealing with clients with crazy expectations for 1 day a week working their horse or colt.

  9. I want to train my own rope horses and sell them. I don’t have much capital to start buying prospects, so I need to drive some traffic to ride outside horses to sell until I have enough capital together to get a great prospect. I’m not going to ride mediocre horses and waste my time there. I know what great ones are and where to get them, just takes money!

  10. Besides training and selling with your model. What other needs do you see coming or growing in the horse industry, products or services, that you think could serve the industry and be profitable?

  11. I want to learn to get into reining and have foals reining bred been trying to get a trainer but none seem to respond and want to learn to train my own.
