Some say, you could pick a random spot on a world map, and Steve would have a profitable business in less than a year. For 47 years, Steve has been in the horse industy and knows exactly what works and what doesn't.

Marketing angles! How can we make our social medias work for us stronger.
Marketing younger horses - futurities?
Finding good prospects… I am sure now you have a list of people you work with to get young horses. How did you find them?
How do you stay motivated in the industry when it feels like everything keeps failing or trying to make you quit? I’m in NY so we don’t have a huge equine industry like the western states do.
My goal is to get into breeding roping prospects and training/selling them as 2 and 3 year olds as well as buying and selling young horses. I would like some advice on how to make that profitable as well as good training and breeding marketing strategies. We are also located on the Navajo rez where it is hard to sell a horse for its true value.
(Regarding Quarter horses) What is the best average price range to buy and sell (i.e. buy at 15k, sell at 20k) within 30-90 days for best profits?
I live in a location where the horse industry isn't huge life Texas or Oklahoma. I have struggles selling horses for their true value due to being located in ND. How does one overcome that & market for buyers in bigger areas of the country?
I’m starting my career training and selling futurity prospects. The NRHA futurity sale seems to be pretty hit or miss. Where/how do you feel is the best way to market 2 year old reining prospects? Public auction, online auction, private treaty, etc.
I’m looking into buying my own 2 year old this year, but I’d also need to borrow the money. What’s the best way to go about doing that? Also, who should I go to to get lessons? My knowledge of reining is limited, but I’m dying to learn. Is it okay for me to jump in and get a 2 year old or should I get some lessons first and wait a year?
I currently train my own horses and buy and sell prospects. My business partner and I would like to sell 2 and 3 year olds at big venues. Ideally we would like a setup that allows to have fewer horses with bigger sales.
I would like to know what's the best way to get started with training horses. Should I go right to a trainer or should I take lessons and work a full time job. If I go right to a trainer then how do I make enough money to get a place of my own to train out of once I am a good enough trainer to go out on my own
I'm starting a horse boarding business. I need advice in the area of how to write the boarding contract, how to ensure collection of monthly rent, liability insurance referrals, and any other ideas for how to make extra money.
