STEP 3: In the comment box below, share your biggest question (or concern) with training and selling horses for profit...

Post your question:

  1. I feel I know what I need to do but to put it into reality seems to be a different story. When a person is busy with chores, hauling hay, maintaining a place, breeding mares, riding colts, washing manes and tails, cleaning stalls, spraying weeds, stacking hay, fixing and repairing all kinds of things, going to the vet to ultra-sound mares (60 miles one way), staying up to save a calf or a colt, I'm just tired. I want to figure this out, but we work our tails off and still find ourselves not making ends meet. Do we hire someone that we cannot afford? Do we try harder? What do we do? I sound pathetic, but it's reality.

  2. Matching the horse and the correct rider for the betterment of the horse and rider and not jeopardizing my reputation. Also knowing when is the right time to sell the horse.

  3. How to network your business?

  4. What is a good average profit from a sale

  5. How do I market effectively on social media?

  6. General question of how to create a nice sales ad for a weanling or yearling.

  7. How do you know they're good enough? Do you ore vet? How do you deal with unforeseen pre purchase issues?

  8. What are your thoughts about "partnering" wih someone to do this. One person provides the monetary investment, the other provides the labor.

  9. What qualities, confirmation, etc do you look at when buying a project?

  10. Help with marketing- is there a link to watch replay? Thank you!

  11. Is it possible to sell colts not of riding age and still make a profit?

  12. Getting a buyer to purchase long distance in young horses & finding riders/buyers that can ride well enough to buy green horses.

  13. Is it worth marketing horses nationwide without hauling them nationwide?

  14. What markers do you use to appraise horses and price them at an appropriate market price?

  15. How do I market my prospect without spending a lot of money on showing it first?

  16. Can you talk about your confidence (personal development, self talk, networking, marketing) and journey and how you went from “one horse” to Mr. Steve Ross the expert-the go to man

  17. Would like to know better places to shop for good prospects to buy, add value to, and then sell

  18. Starting a day long horse day camp to use leading horse through trail obstacles, lunge line in round pen (walk/jog), led by golf cart, learn to throw rope from ground.

  19. I run a rescue/sanctuary and many of our horses come from horrible situations…I’m always afraid to adopt out a horse because too many times they end up in another horrible situation. How can we be assured these horses that we train & sell will end up in safe hands without charging an arm & a leg ?

  20. Will there be a replay? My daughter is going to college to become a horse trainer and she has to work at a horse rescue during this webinar but she really wants to hear what you have to say. Please send us a link to watch it over the weekend. Thanks
