STEP 3: In the comment box below, share your biggest question (or concern) with training and selling horses for profit...

Post your question:

  1. Best way to advertise.

  2. What is the best way to gain interest from buyers on social media?

  3. How to know that I'm buying s good project horse and what to do to add value to it?

  4. I never received the first email.

  5. How do you know how much to invest into a horse (monetarily, time and emotionally) before you're upside down or attached to it. How do you "keep it business" and not get attached?

  6. I just started an instagram for my horse that im currently training is this a good place to start ? I believe I can train a horse to do just about anything but can I really get a return monetarily speaking. it's always been such a huge gamble . sincerely, Silver sky equine on instagram.

  7. Working with buyers that ride well enough to get along with the horse & that will take good care of the horse.

  8. Best way to start a successful training business, how to advertise to get clients.

  9. How do we evaluate how much to invest in a ‘flip’ horse sports medicine wise? I train barrel horses, and I’m pretty tuned in to when they need, say, hocks/stifles injected. Say I ride one 30-60 days and I can tell, to advance them, they will need this. I find it very difficult- actually impossible- to try to sell them at that point when I KNOW they need some work done. I am personally compelled to be transparent, but it’s kinda hard to sell them with the caveat “I feel like he needs some sports medicine”. Plus, if I do, and the new owner doesn’t do it, it’s gonna hurt my reputation when the new owner doesn’t get along.

  10. What should you look for in a horse you are purchasing to resell?

  11. What happens if my project horse turns out to be too smart for his own good?

  12. How to go about leasing stalls in a facility to start a horse training business. Do’s and dont’s and things to know. Seems to be zero info on this topic.

  13. How do you manage a full time job, farming 200+ acres, and starting/operating a horse business successfully as a one man band? I'm trying to start the horse business so I can phase out of my current full time job and focus primarily on the horse and farm business.

  14. How do I use social media effectively? I never feel like I am effective in using it properly in regards to business and horse sales.

  15. Are online sales the real deal on buying horses with no holes in them.

  16. How to best sell horses

  17. The 4th of July is coming up. What are some things you can do to prevent stress for horsesand foals from neighbors letting off fireworks?

  18. How to minimize liability of people coming to your property to ride the horse, when they don't know how to ride? How to minimize time spent with people who want you to let them ride your horse, but hey do not really want to buy?

  19. I think my greatest concern is being able to recognize potential physical issues which would be difficult to overcome

  20. When you are in a position where you have to pay board on a horse (that’s not inexpensive) making sure you clear a decent profit
