How can we profit in the horse training world without feeling we have to ride "too many" horses?
I know I offer quality training for horses of all ages, levels, breeding, and backgrounds. How do I make myself standout from competition so the consumers come to me in the first place with clean slate horses?
I want to purchase a training facility in the next few years. Should I buy an existing facility or build new? How can I create a business model that is successful? How do I raise the capital to apply for a loan? How do I attract good people? Is it a better model to lease my facility entirely, or run it myself and be in charge of the boarding portion? Are there other ways to increase income, rather than adding boarders outside of the training facility? So many facilities in my area are struggling and/or selling. What can I do differently to not end up like them?
How much does location matter for a successful horse business? We currently live in a rural area with a large number of people being ranchers (Panhandle of Nebraska). We are one of a very few number of professional trainers in our area so we do get lots of “business” just not always the type of horses we always want. It is our desire in the future to train only performance horses (cowhorses specifically) as well as give lessons.
I'm hoping this would give me some insight and ideas how to make the 501c3 rescue we have run smoother, effectively and not always in the red. And yeah...a vacation would be amazing!
Just looking at starting some sort of business with horses. Have property and buildings but nothing "set up" for horses yet. Mainly because set up will depend on what sort of horse endeavor would bring in income.
I train, sell, and breed . Looking for a way to do more then just make ends meet . I want my business to pay for itself but also bring in profit as well that can help with upgrades to my facility to bring in more clients . Residual income would be nice . But I want my horses and breeding to be paid for by my hard work .
Have had a life long love of horses and learning. Have rode and trained my own horses, but never attempted to build a business through it. Want to build some aspect of income streams using my life long love of horses 🐎 Just moved to Arizona and unfortunately do not know anyone in the industry here. Building any kind of business requires networking so how do I do this?
