  1. I have been away from the horse industry for 10 years raising a family. Looking to get back into it but alot has changed. Looking for info on different income options. And what customers are looking for now.

  2. We haven't increased our prices in the last three years, but we have increased revenue. Costs are killing us. I'm having a hard time convincing my brother that we need to charge more. On top of board and training, most of our clients also spend a ridiculous amount for my brother to ride their horses in futurity competitions. Most trainers I have worked for don’t want to “share their secrets” so they don’t loose any clients. Thank you.

  11. I would like to learn how to rebrand myself and get the right clients in my program. I’ve always been known as the 2 year old girl, but my heart and soul is in refining 3 year olds and prepping them for their futurity year (barrel racing). How do I get the right kind of clients to take a chance on me with that stage of the horse’s training rather then sending them off to the top trainers after I’ve started them?

  15. Our breeding program consists of 3 studs and a dozen broodmares. Our program is focused on the pro rodeo world, not the reining world, but the principles are much the same. My biggest question is how do get your name know for what you breed, so you have a steady stream of clients coming to you each year for horses? We breed really nice horses. Everyone is always super happy with what they buy. But these horses need to be in the hands of people competing at a high level. Not just your local cowboys. No offense to the local cowboys, but where we live, they don't care much about how nice a horse is. They'd be happy riding a well broke mustang.

  17. Where to start with horse sales… how do you build the inventory needed to be able to routinely offer horses for sale? Right now it seems I only have 2 resale horses at a time and might sell a “good one” every 9 months or so.
