How to make profit on good horses
What is the best way to make multiple streams of revenue without lots of added work?
I would like to learn how to rebrand myself and get the right clients in my program. I’ve always been known as the 2 year old girl, but my heart and soul is in refining 3 year olds and prepping them for their futurity year (barrel racing). How do I get the right kind of clients to take a chance on me with that stage of the horse’s training rather then sending them off to the top trainers after I’ve started them?
How to find where your profits are maximized, where the x and y axis cross and you are at the peak of profit margin.
I pay my bills and manage to enjoy my life but if anything breaks or goes wrong I’m one month away from trouble. I just want to find a cushion
I have been in the horse business all of my life and like you, I haven’t been able to monetize my profession
Our breeding program consists of 3 studs and a dozen broodmares. Our program is focused on the pro rodeo world, not the reining world, but the principles are much the same. My biggest question is how do get your name know for what you breed, so you have a steady stream of clients coming to you each year for horses? We breed really nice horses. Everyone is always super happy with what they buy. But these horses need to be in the hands of people competing at a high level. Not just your local cowboys. No offense to the local cowboys, but where we live, they don't care much about how nice a horse is. They'd be happy riding a well broke mustang.
How to appeal to the type of clients that you want and how to make a good profit without riding a miserable amount of horses.
Where to start with horse sales… how do you build the inventory needed to be able to routinely offer horses for sale? Right now it seems I only have 2 resale horses at a time and might sell a “good one” every 9 months or so.
I market horses for people I would like to become the go to person people seek to sell a horse would like to start an online auction once a month also for horses that are stalled in sales
What are the most effective ways of advertising? Pointers on ways to make money to balance out fees of cattle and other money out. Information on contracts and do and don’t rules you have with running your business.
How to get your name and business name out there and known to the right buyers. Better marketing strategies.
I am very curious to learn how to develop other streams on income for my business.
How to go from a B-list trainer to an A-list trainer. How to get your name out there to get better horses and clients
Marketing to get the type of clients that you want and how to make a good profit without riding a miserable amount of horses.
Making money doing what we love with horses...? Seems almost impossible!
Looking to further my knowledge in the reining industry and how to make it profitable
How do you overcome the challenges involved with buying/building a facility with very little available for down payment? Especially in an area with extremely high land prices and limited purchase options? Best ways to approach the bank? Lots of ideas for multiple income streams but not sure where to start. Business is also nearly impossible without a facility in my area.
How do you justify your price/worth with potential clients as an "up and coming nobody", especially when you havnt "proven" your results yet? (ie: big league championships, titles, big name horses, etc on your resume)
I’m just getting back to the life I love, I grew up training colts and rope horses. I want to make a living at doin what I love, again. What is the modern way to conduct business in this industry? Advertising? Online sales/ads? I have a young promising stallion, my goal is to raise and train horses for the western and performance industry. Trying to structure my business plan and get my ducks in a row before jumping with both feet.
