STEP 3: In the comment box below, share your biggest question about building a successful horse business..

  1. Looking how to create income that isn't tied to training and selling eash individual horse itself but equine bodywork, therapy, and supplements.

  2. I am considering purchasing a training facility in the next few years. A few questions I’ve asked myself are, How do I make my investment profitable? Is it a better model to lease my facility entirely, or run it myself and be in charge of the boarding portion? Are there other ways to increase income, rather than adding boarders outside of the training facility? Should I build from scratch or buy an existing facility and make changes?

  3. How to make a living in the industry.

  4. Small breeder looking to see if your tips can be applied to turn my hobby into something a more financially efficient.

  5. How to attract good clients and keep them!

  6. I have been in the industry for 25yrs. Have always “made ends meet” but the economy these last few years has been brutal on my business. So I need to learn how to step up my game or get out at this point. Hoping to be able to stay in it though. Ready to learn!

  7. How to have enough client horses in while still having time to get our personal prospects up and going. We had lots of clients in last year to make ends meet but never had time four our own and are now months behind on them.

  8. I was recently laid off as a mortgage underwriter. I would like to take this time to pursue, but I love which is horses looking for insight on a business that I can grow.

  9. How can we, as professionals, teach people that we are worth the money we charge? Customers seem to think we should live in poverty to fund their hobby.

  10. I have spent last several years downsizing my training structure to make time and $ more productive and profitable. In doing so I find myself struggling to find customers willing / interested in promoting horses at the level of competition I’m interested in competing in. Also I am looking for ways to improve business profitability and cash flow while pursuing those goals.

  11. I’m looking to gain more knowledge in the equine business area. Things I can do or change to better my business.

  12. Looking for ideas on how to make a living in the horse industry.

  13. The comments below covered my questions.

  14. I love what I do, it's been a dream of mine, but the actual business part and the monetary aspect is draining me. I feel like I'm trying all of these avenues to boost my revenue but I'm spending more than what I'm making. How do I keep this career from draining me?

  15. How to draw clients? How to keep clients ?

  16. I have a good reputation where people come to me with help with their horses. We have a facility but it's not huge and I just would like more performance clients vs backyard pony clients. I want to maximize my business, making sure I'm making efficient use of my time

  17. Am I better off to provide add-on services or charge higher prices for all inclusive services?

  18. Looking for Knowledge and diversity so I can turn my barrel horse training into a successful business instead of just making ends meet

  19. We’re trying to put the logistics together to build a training, fitting and rehab/ retirement center in an area of the country that is highly underserved. Getting the revenue together to build something with draw is a challenge. I feel like I can show results u til I’m blue in the face, but I need to pull horses and clients who can afford to even make it possible for ends to meet. Especially when we’re aiming to work with horses that need…. Extra.

  20. Looking forward to seeing how to make a horse business turn the corner and be profitable
